Voices of the Fair

While the Fair’s collection of memorabilia is impressive, much of its history lives in the hearts and memories of fair guests. As the Greatest Generation’s population diminishes, capturing the living history of the Fair becomes ever more pressing. In 2008, the Foundation launched a campaign to fund such a project and as 2012 wound down, filming of the Voices of the Fair documentary was completed.

The final product is an hour-long conglomeration of memories and stories as told by staff, Directors, vendors and guests. It was shown in the Fair Museum during the 2013 Washington State Fair and the DVD was offered at Fair Stores.
